About us
Hi my name is Anjana and I am the founder of Byers Doggy Care. I have been a lifetime dog owner and dog lover since childhood and I am at my happiest caring and devoting my time to our four legged companions.

I am deeply committed to providing an environment for the dogs in our care to flourish and this is reflected in our 'PAWS First' philosophy. You can find out more about our philosophy below.

Part of our family
We’re passionate about your dog becoming part of our family – part of our pack. We love and embrace your dog as if they were our own and they stay with us in our home. We encourage the dogs in our care to embrace the unique personalities of other dogs in the pack. We do this by supporting them to learn to respect each other and embrace each other’s differences.
We also pay attention to your dog’s unique needs. This is only possible through accepting them into our family and nurturing a loving connection with them.

Anjana really does love dogs and her home is wonderfully set up to ensure there is ample time for play and rest.
We were unsure if Alfie would be anxious staying somewhere different, but Anjana made him feel at home right from the start.
We work from home a lot more, but We couldn’t think of anyone better to look after our Mutt! 😊
Activities & routine
Dogs are creatures of habit and they thrive when they have activities to get excited about and routines that give them structure. We provide a variety of activities to enrich the experiences of our dogs, from off-leash playtime and freedom in secure fields, to stimulating games, quiet time, and treats. These activities are all provided as part of a structured routine during their stay with us.

Marcy is a dog who needs structure and routine and this is something that Byers’ has delivered in spades. I would wholeheartedly recommend their services to anyone with a high energy dog!

Ziggy clearly has the best time when he is in her care - strategic games, outdoor play, tug and sofa cuddles are how he spends most of his time at Anjana’s. She makes sure to separate or rest any dogs that need some time alone too.
Waggy tails
We care deeply about providing an environment where your dog feels happy and confident. We employ a positive reinforcement approach to dog behaviour management, and always encourage peaceful play between the dogs in our care. There is also lots of encouragement and cuddles when your dog needs them.

We treat all our dogs to a pate bone brunch to keep their energy up during the day, and there are plenty of toys to play with, and an abundance of beds to relax or take a snooze.

The safety of the dogs in our care is of the utmost importance. We are insured and have received the highest rating by Waverley Borough Council for our home boarding services, and when your dog is with us you’ll benefit from:

Regular video and picture updates of your dog’s adventures and activities.

Pick up and drop offs from your home to ours in a purpose-built van with crash-proof crates, air conditioning and water access.

Always being in a secure, fenced environment, at our home and at our Bark Park. This means they can always play off the lead with minimal risk.

Our family’s expertise in dog behaviour training and first aid.
